When people hear “financial advisor,” they usually think of market analysis, retirement planning, and spreadsheets—not apex turns and redline RPMs. But for me, and a couple of close friends from Baird, the thrill doesn’t end when the markets close—it shifts into high gear at Road America.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy getting behind the wheel of my 2023 Mach 1 Mustang and heading to Road America—a world-famous racetrack located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Known for its scenic layout and challenging 4-mile, 14-turn course, Road America is one of my favorite places to spend a weekend.
I take part in Track Days, which are non-competitive events where drivers can bring their own cars to the track and safely test their skills. It’s a chance to learn, improve, and enjoy the thrill of driving in a controlled environment—without the pressure of racing.
I often hit the track with Joe Buday, a fellow financial advisor at Baird, and Dan Moshinski, my former business partner who’s now retired. The three of us share a love for fast cars and good company.
For me, it’s all about having fun, learning something new, and spending time with friends who share the same passion for cars and driving.
