On April 20th, I joined Celene and other Baird teammates at the Milwaukee SCORES CUP at Uihlein Soccer Park. It was a great way to spend a Saturday—playing soccer, connecting with coworkers, and supporting a good cause.
Milwaukee SCORES helps kids in the city by offering free after-school and summer programs that combine soccer, writing, and mentorship. The tournament raises money to keep those programs going, and it was awesome to be part of that effort.
Our team played in the 6v6 indoor format. Each game was 25 minutes long, and we played at least three matches. The pace was quick, and the competition was solid, but we had a lot of fun.
