Nothing brings coworkers together quite like a little friendly competition… especially when bragging rights are on the line!
I recently joined Celene, Michael, and others from our Waukesha and Oconomowoc offices for sand volleyball at Wisconsin Legends. We had a great time playing, laughing, and enjoying the chance to hang out outside of the office.
But the real excitement came at the end of the night.
Celene, Alyssa, and I took on Michael, Max, Jimmy and Zach, in a three-versus-four showdown. Despite the us girls being outnumbered three to four, we weren’t going down without a fight. What started as a fun final game quickly became very competitive. The sets stayed incredibly close, and with a win-by-two rule, neither side seemed willing to let the other one finish it off.
The girls left it all on the court with some great saves, dives, and even a few creative kicks to get the ball back over the net. In the end, us three girls managed to pull off the victory despite being outnumbered!
It was such a fun night with a great group of people from both offices. Although after that ending, I have a feeling us guys might be asking for a rematch.
